Fiesta Burgers

Ingredients

FIESTA CREAM CHEESE
2T. finely chopped jalapeno peppers
8 oz. cream cheese
FIESTA KETCHUP
1/4 cup ketchup
1/2 tsp. Worchestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. hot sauce
FIESTA BUNS
hamburger buns
butter
garlic powder
FIESTA BURGERS
Oil for grill
1 lb. lean ground hamburger
1 16 oz. package pepper bacon
salt to taste
2T. Worcestershire sauce
FIESTA GARNISHMENTS
1 pkg. sliced Monterey Jack cheese
1 sliced Avocado

 

Instructions

For fiesta cream cheese, in a small bowl, thourougly mix the jalapenos and cream cheese; set aside. In another small bowl for fiesta ketchup, combine ketchup, 2T. Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, and hot sauce, stir with a whisk. Butter hamburger buns and sprinkle with garlic powder to taste. Place butter side down on grill and toast until golden brown. Place on serving tray. Spread 2T. cream cheese mixture on the toasted side of the top of each bun. Form the hamburger into six flat patties 1/2 inch thick. Wrap each patty with 1 strip of bacon and fasten with a toothpick. Salt patties to taste. Heat gas grill to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. With a brush, oil the grill to prevent burgers from sticking. After placing burgers on the grill, top with 3/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce. Cook 3 minutes on the first side. Turn hamburgers over, and cook an additional 3 minutes on the other side for Medium Rare. Remove toothpicks. Place cooked burgers on buns, top with 1 slice Monterey jack cheese and 2 slices of Avocado; add 1T. fiesta ketchup. Serve.
