3 tablespoons Sutter Home Zinfandel
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1 small clove garlic, peeled, halved lengthwise
1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh oregano leaves, or 1/3 teaspoon dried
1/8 teaspoon salt, preferably Kosher
2 pinches freshly ground black pepper
6 tablespoons Colavita extra-virgin olive oil

For Patties:

2 pounds ground beef (75% sirloin & 25% chuck)
