Garlic Lovers Burger

Bright and full-bodied, this Zinfandel wine is a curious contradiction in tastes.


For the Grilled Vidalia Onions –
1 large Vidalia onion sliced crosswise 1/2 thick
1T Olive Oil Kosher
Salt and Freshly Ground Pepper
For the Hamburgers –
1 1/4 pounds Freshly ground chuck
1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon kosher salt
16 cloves of garlic
4 slices of muenster cheese
4 kaiser rolls
Grey Poupon mustard



To prepare Onions: Brush the onions slices with the olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Grill until lightly browned, about 4 minutes per side. To prepare Hamburgers: In large mixing bowl, combine ground chuck, worcestershire sauce and salt. Divide into four hamburger patties. In each patty, radomly place four cloves of garlic throughout the patty. On preheated grill, cook for about 5 minutes per side for medium. During the last minute, place a slice of cheese on each patty. Cover grill until cheese slightly melts. Slice the rolls and place on grill until golden. Place the burger on the bottom half of the bun and top with onions and spread top of bun with Grey Poupon.
