garlic pesto burgers

Hard to pronounce yet easy to drink, this wine combines lychee fruit and white peach flavors with a hint of spice.

Ingredients:

1-1/2# 85/15 ground beef
2 T prepared pesto
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/8 t sea salt
1 t freshly ground black pepper
6 buns
extra virgin olive oil
6 slices fresh mozzarella cheese
6 large basil leaves, rinsed and dried
18 thin slices of roma tomato

Instructions:

in a large bowl combine first 5 ingredients. mix well by hand, but do not overmix. shape into 6 patties. burgers may be cooked on an idoor grill, such as a foreman grill, or on an outdoor gas or charcoal grill. if cooking on an indoor grill, cook for a total of 6 minutes. if cooking on an outdoor grill, cook for 6 minutes per side. meanwhile, brush top and bottom of buns with olive oil and toast on a flat grill or saute pan. to assemble burners, place 1 slice of fresh mozzarella on each bun, top with a burger then top burgers with a fresh basil leaf and 3 slices of roma tomato.
