Good Morning Coffee Breakfast Bagel Burger

Ingredients

12 slices regular bacon
6 large eggs
salt for sprinkling on eggs
black pepper for sprinkling on eggs
2 pounds ground chuck
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
4 teaspoons ground coffee
vegetable oil, for brushing on the grill rack
6 plain bagels split
8 ounces cream cheese spread
8 ounces grape jelly

 

Instructions

Prepare a medium-hot fire in a charcoal grill with lid.

Heat a large nonstick fire-proof skillet on the grill. Add bacon and cook until crispy. Remove bacon from pan place on paper towel to drain grease. Wrap with foil to keep warm and set aside. Remove bacon grease from skillet and wipe clean. Return skillet to grill. Crack 6 eggs in skillet. Then sprinkle salt and pepper over eggs and cook 1 to 2 minuets on each side or until desired doneness. Take eggs up individually and place on plate and wrap up with foil to keep warm and set aside.

To make patties combine ground chuck, salt, black pepper, and ground coffee in large bowl. Mix well. Form into 6 patties to fit size of bagel.

Brush grill rack with vegetable oil. Place the patties on grill rack and cover with lid. Cook patties 6 to 8 minutes on each side. When done remove from grill and cover with foil to keep warm. Place bagels split side down on grill and cook 1 to 2 minutes or until lightly toasted then remove from grill.

To assemble burgers spread a good amount of cream cheese spread on bottom half of bagel on the split side then place burger on cream cheese side of bagel and top with 1 egg and 2 slices of bacon. Spread a good amount of grape jelly on split side of bagel top with jelly side down and add to burger. Serve immediately.
