Grandmas Roast Beef Sunday Burger

This rich red easily complements your homemade chicken dishes, red meats, game, and mildly seasoned pastas.


1 (lb) Angus Beef Chuck
1 (lb) Ground Lean Beef
4 tablespoons of room temperature or cold cooked mashed potatoes (Instant can be subsituted)
1 1/2 Teaspoons of Beef Stew Seasoning Mix
1/4 teaspoon Roast Beef Seasoning another 1/2 teaspoon for mushroom saute
1/4 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
4 (8oz.) small cans of mushrooms with 3 Tablespoons of finely chopped canned mushrooms.. the remainder used for saute
1/4 Teaspoon Olive oil
1/2 Teaspoon finely chopped parsley
1/2 Teaspoon Onion
Salt from shaker
1/4 Celery Salt
1/2 cup of water
Onion rolls/Buns for 8-10 servings
Green Leaf lettuce
3 large Tomatoes
3-4 Dill pickles per burger
Gey Poupon mustard
Mozzerella cheese slices… 2 per burger



Before starting the cooking process, take one of the 4 cans of the mushrooms and saute in a seperate pan with 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce,1/2 teaspoon of Beef Stew seasoning, sprinkle of parsley and half cup of water. Cook over low heat for garnish over cheese. Take both meats and place in large bowl to mix the meats. Using a spoon, spread the meat around the container to allow the ingredients to be mixed evenly. Add the mashed potatoes first into the meat and then add the dry ready made spices… Beef Stew and Roast Beef Seasoning Combine Worcestershire sauce, Olive oil,chopped mushrooms, celery salt and parsely in a seperate bowl to mix all the different tastes together. Then take this mixture and add it to the meat and combine all ingredients. Once all ingredients are mixed throughly with a spoon, divide the meat into 8-10 burger patties. Cook over medium heat, sprinkle Onion salt on each burger. About 3 minutes before removing from grill, add 2 slices of Mozzerella cheese for a slow melt. Toast sliced buns along side cooking burgers. Remove the buns and prepare with mayo, mustard on both buns adding extra mustard to bottom portion. Then place lettuce, tomato and dill over the bottom portion of the bun and add the cooked meat. Take the sauted mushrooms and add a pinch of the cooked mushrooms over the melted cheese. Serve with Potato Salad.
