Grilled Hot pepper Italian Sausage Burger

1/3 cup Sun-dried tomato pesto sauce in a jar
2/3 cup mayonaise
1 pound bulk sweet or hot Italian sausage
1 pound ground pork
3 cloves chopped garlic
1 cup finely chopped onions
1 cup chopped black olives
1/2 cup feta cheese
1/2 cup grated parmesian cheese
1/2 cup italian seasoned bread crumbs
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 cup olive oil
6 yellow hot peppers
6 thick sliced onions
6 slices of provolone cheese
6 sliced soft chibata rolls



Prepar a medium fire in a charcoal grill, or preheat a gas grill on medium heat.

Mix together the pesto sauce and mayonaise in a bowl
cover and chill until ready to use.

Slice hot peppers open and remove all the seeds.
Brush with olive oil. Set aside until ready to grill

create your burgers: combine the italian sausage,pork, feta cheese, garlic,onion,olives,parmesian cheese,bread crumbs,salt and pepper.
Mix well; form into 6 burger patties.

When the grill is heated; spray with Pam grill oil or brush grill rack with olive oil.

Place the italian patties on the heated grill rack, along with the hot peppers and thick onion slices brush with olive oil, cooking at the same time. cover and grill patties on each side for 8 minutes. turning the peppers and onions so they do not burn.
Remove the hot peppers and onions when they are soft. Set aside.
Before removing the patties place 1 slice of provolone cheese on each pattie. remove from grill when cheese has melted.

Bulld your burger, spread the pesto mayonaise onto each side of the bun. Place the patties on the bottom of the bun. Add the hot peppers,onion slice,and place the top bun.
