Grilled Pepper Burger
1/4 C Chopped Onion
1/4C Chopped Red Pepper
1 Lb Hamburger
1 64 oz can Tomato Juice
1 Lg can Tomato Paste
1 Tbls Chili Powder
1 Tbls Red Pepper
1 1/2 Lbs Hamburger
1 Tbls Basil
1/4C Finely Chopped Onion
1/2 C Cooked White Rice
1/2 C Shredded Yellow Cheddar Cheese
3 Lg Red Peppers (washed and cut in half)
Foil to make packet
6 Kaiser Rolls
In large pot saute 1/4 C onion , 1/4 C chopped red pepper and 1 lb hamburger, when done add Tomato Juice, Tomato paste, Chili powder and Red pepper. Cook covered for 45 min.
In large bowl combine 1 1/2 lb hamburger, 1/4 c chopped onion, basil, rice and cheese. Form into six patties.
Cook on heated grill until done.
Grill 6 pepper halves in a foil packet until fork tender.
On kaiser roll place hamburger patty, 1 pepper half, top with sauce and place 2nd half of bun on top. Enjoy!
