Grilled Turkey/Beef burger with avocado and grilled portobella mushrooms

1 lb. ground beef 1 lb. ground turkey
1 large egg
1 cup milk
2 slices bread
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 med. avocado
Grilled portobella mushrooms
2 large caps
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
then grill



Prepare your toppings: avocado, onions, lettuce, tomato pickles, mayo and mustard. Cover and refridgerate. Prepare mushrooms for the grill: Remove stems from mushrooms, brush clean, coat with olive oil, salt and pepper. In a bowl put the 2 slices of bread and milk to soak until soaked through. In another large bowl place the turkey, beef, egg, salt, pepper and when the bread is soaked through, place it into the bowl with the meat mixture. Mix throughly and form into patties. Place onto a cookie sheet and place into the freezer until firm to keep the soft meat from falling through the grill when grilling. If there is enough room on the grill, at the same time place the mushrooms on. Cook to ensure doness of the meat. After removing the meat an mushrooms from the grill, to get added flavor, place the buns on the grill to brown. Build your burger and enjoy.
