Pairs well with:

Merlot

Get cozy and get pouring. Our Merlot is the wine for long weekends and lengthy chats.

Ingredients

2 lbs. ground beef, preferably chuck
1 small onion, chopped into small pieces
2 Tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro leaves
1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
Oil or cooking spray for greasing grill rack
6 sliced hamburger buns
18 thin slices of cucumber with rind
3/4 cup of sour cream, room temperature
2 oz. of black caviar

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, onion, cilantro, worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Form into 6 1/2 inch thick patties. Before turning on grill, grease grill rack with oil or cooking spray. Set gas grill to medium setting. Place patties on grill and cook for 4-5 minutes, turn over and cook another 2-3 minutes; this is for a medium cooked hamburger. Cook less for rare and longer for well done. Open 6 hamburger buns. When hamburgers are cooked, remove them from the grill and place onto the bottom part of the opened buns. Place 3 thin slices of cucumber on each burger. Top the cucumbers with 2 Tbsp. of sour cream. Top the sour cream with 2 tsp. of black caviar. Close bun and savor! Nothing else is needed to enjoy this delectable burger except maybe a glass of Sutter Home wine.
