With strawberry and melon essences, this American original is perfectly at home with however you like to unwind.


1 lb. of ground round.
1/4 lb. of ground saugage/use spicy/hot suagage to turn up the heat a little.
2 table spoons of honey.
1 table spoon of olive oil
1 table spoon of spicy or Dejon Mustard.
1 small onion diced into small pieces.
1/2 green pepper diced into small pieces.
1/8 teaspoon of chili powder.
1/8 teaspoon of season salt.
salt & pepper to liking.



In a small mixing bowl combine 2 table spoons of honey with 1 table spoon of Dejon or spicy mustard and one tablespoon of extra vigin olive oil. Mix well. Dice 1 small onion into small pieces along with 1/2 green pepper diced into small pieces and add to the honey/mustard mix. Fold ingrediets well. To that mix add 1 tablespoon of plain yogurt and 1/3 cup of seasoned bread crumbs and the 1/8 teaspoon of chili powder. Mix all ingreadients well before adding ground round. Add 1 lb of ground round and mix with other ingredients until ingredients are well distributed within the ground round (do not overly do it as it will make the burgers tough). Form into the size pattie you desire; add salt pepper and season salt to both sides of the burger and grill to your liking.
