Heicklen Blue Cheese Meatball Hamburger

Bright and full-bodied, this Zinfandel wine is a curious contradiction in tastes.


1 lb. lean ground beef
1 egg
2 tbls Italian seasoned bread crumbs
1 tbls minced garlic
1/4 tsp salt
4 turns fresh ground pepper
1 tbls oregano
1 tbls water
1 small container of crumbly blue cheese
blue cheese dressing
american cheese
4 fresh kaiser rolls



1. Place ground beef in bowl. 2. Add egg, bread crumbs, garlic, salt, pepper, and oregano. 3. By hand mix above ingredients together. 4. Add 1/2 container of crumbly blue cheese, mix in. 5. Make 4 patties and place on medium grill. After five minutes flip burgers. Cook until center is 145 degrees. 6. Lay rolls on top half of grill to heat. 7. Add remaining crumbly blue cheese to top of each burger evenly and cover w/ a slice of American Cheese. 8. Place burgers on roll. Add blue cheese dressing to top of roll and condiments to taste. Add bacon to top of cheese.
