White Zinfandel

With strawberry and melon essences, this American original is perfectly at home with however you like to unwind.


6 1/2 ounce container garlic and herbs spreadable cheese
1/4 cup white zinfandel
1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped
2 pounds ground beef
1/4 cup White Zinfandel wine
1/4 cup diced onion
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon grill seasoning
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
Vegetable oil for brushing grill rack
6 kaiser rolls, split
6 large slices tomato



To make the sauce, combine in medium bowl the spreadable cheese, wine and fresh basil. Using whisk, blend together and set aside. To make the patties, combine the ground beef, wine, onion, salt, grill seasoning and worcestershire sauce.Mix well and divide into 6 equal portions and form into patties to fit kaiser rolls. When the grill is ready, brush grill rack with vegetable oil. Place the patties on the rack, cover, and cook, turning only once to a medium doneness. During the last few minutes of cooking, place the kaiser rolls,cut side down on the grill rack to lightly toast. To assemble the burgers, on each roll bottom place a pattie and top with a tomato slice. On each roll top, spread a generous amount of herb cheese sauce and place on pattie and serve.
