Hot and Spicy Southern BBQ Burger

Pairs well with:

White Zinfandel

With strawberry and melon essences, this American original is perfectly at home with however you like to unwind.


2 lb ground sirloin,
3/4 cup rolled oats
1/2 c milk
1/2 c buttermilk
1 medium onion chopped fine
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1/2 c fine chopped celery
1/2 cup fine chopped green, yellow and red pepper
2 tsp hot sauce

1 cup ketchup
1 1/2 tsp worchestishire sauce
1 tbsp hot sauce\1/4 c water
3 tbsp vinegar
3 tbsp sugar
2 tsp dried red pepper

while burger grilling brush with sauce

1 lb thick cut maple bacon
1 lb shredded sharp cheddar cheese
6 kaiser rolls



add burger, oats, milks, salt, pepper, celery, green pepper mix,and 2 tsp hot sauce …work through with you hands and form 6 thick patties.

Make sauce
hot sauce
dried red pepper

at same time grill burgers and maple bacon. At 350 degree may take up to an hour. Make sure your bacon is crispy but not burnt

Can serve ranch dressing on the side for dipping.
asseble burgers … bun, sauce, bacon, burger, sauce, cheese, bacon, bun,,,,serve with a side of ranch and many many napkins
