Ingredients

1 LOAF GARLIC BREAD SPLIT
1 1/2 LB OF GROUND CHUCK
4-5 SLICES SWISS CHEESE
4-5 SLICES OF AMERICAN CHEESE
1 GREEN PEPPER SLICED INTO RINGS
1 LG. SWEET ONION (VIDALIA)
1 FRESH TOMATO 
SEASONED SALT

 

Instructions

LINE A COOKIE SHEET WIYH FOIL. MAKE 4 PATTIES OUT OF THE GROUND BEEF. SEASON WITH SEASONED SALT. EITHER GRILL OR FRY THE BURGERS UNTIL DONE.PLACE THE GARLIC BREAD ON FOIL. PLACE HAMBURGERS ON BREAD OPEN FACED.PLACE THE CHEESE ON TOP OF THE BURGERS, FIRST THE SWISS THEN THE AMERICAN ON TOP. PLACE IN A PREHEATED OVEN 375 FOR ABOUT 15 MIN UNTIL THE CHEESE IS MELTED.REMOVE FROM OVEN, AND PUT GREEN PEPPER RINGS ON THE CHEESE, FOLLOWED BY THE ONION, AND THEN THE TOMATO.SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE. CLOSE THE SANDWICH. WRAP IN THE FOIL AND KEEP IN OVEN FOR AN ADDITIONAL 15 MIN. SERVE HOT, ALONG WITH BAKED BEANS AND A VEGGIE TRAY.
