Instructions

Prepare a medium-hot fire in a charcoal grill with a cover, or preheat a gas grill to medium-high. Combine the Ground Beef and Hot Sausage in a large mixing bowl.Finely chop the Fresh Garlic and add it to the meat mixture. Pour in the cup of Pecorino Romano and gently fold together the ingredients Using a seperate mixing bowl add the Salt, Ground Cloves, Ground Cinnamon, Crushed Red Pepper Flakes, Molasses, Barbecue Sauce and the Sutter Home Cabernet Sauvignon and wisk until the ingredients are thorougly mixed. Once mixed, add this mixture to the large bowl with the meat mixture. Gently fold the ingredients using a fork to maintain the looseness of the meat. Divide the meat mixture into six parts as evenly as possible and then form the patties to fit the hamburger roll size- set aside. Cut the Large Sweet Onions into 1/3 thick slices until you have 6 uniform slices. Place the onions on a plate and brush one side of the onions with Colavita Olive Oil, turn the onions over and brush the other side. Remove the leaves from the Fresh Thyme and evenly sprinkle them on one side of the onions. The grill should now be ready so brush the grill rack with some of the remaining Colavita Olive Oil. Place the hamburger patties offset to the hottest part of the grill to avoid flareups. Place the onion slices ,oil side only, on the grill offset to the main heat. Close the grill cover and allow to cook for 4 (four) minutes. Flip the patties over, move the onion slices closer to the hot spot and allow to cook covered for 4 (four) minutes. Open the grill and place the rolls , cut side down, on the outer edges of the grill to toast for 2 (two) minutes. Remove the rolls and spread the bottoms of the six rolls lightly with the Grey Poupon Mustard. Remove the hamburger patties and place one on each mustarded bottom roll, remove the onion slices and place one slice on each pattie. Add the hamburger roll tops and serve.
