1 small onion finely diced
1 1/2 tsp minced garlic
6 cremini mushroom finely chopped
1 tbsp chopped parsley
3- 5oz package herb goat cheese
6 Foccacia Rolls Mayonnaise Dijon Mustard
2 large vine ripen tomatoes
1 purple onion
1 head red leaf lettuce
Instructions
Preheat gas grill to 350 degrees. In a mixing bowl combine the ground beef, Steak Sauce, Salt and Pepper. Combine well, but do not overwork the meat. Form the meat mixture into 12- 4oz. patties. Set aside. In a 10" saute pan, saute on the grill the linguica, diced onion and garlic for approximately 3 minutes. Add the cremini mushrooms and saute for another 2 minutes. Add the chopped parsley and saute the entire mixture for another 2 minutes. Remove from the grill and place the in a bowl to cool down, approximately 20 minutes. Once the mixture has cooled take the 3- 5oz packages of goat cheese and crumble into the mixture. Mix well. Take 1- 4oz ground beef patty and add a tablespoon of the cheese mixture to the center of the beef patty. Take another 4oz. patty and place on top of the cheese mixture. Press the edges of each patty together to form one burger. Continue this process with the other patties until 6 hamburgers are ready to grill. Place each burger on the preheated gas grill and cook for approximately 7 minutes on each side. Do not touch patty once you have placed it on the grill until you are ready to flip it over and remember not to press down on the hamburger patty while cooking otherwise all of the flavorful juices will be lost. Once the hamburgers are cooked, place each burger on an ovenproof dish and set on top shelf of the grill to keep warm. Keep grill open. Take one Foccacia roll and on each side of the roll generously spread with mayonnaise and dijon mustard. Place on the bottom half of the roll and a piece of red leaf lettuce, slice of tomato and slice of purple onion. Place cooked burger on top and place the other half of the Foccacia roll onto the burger and ENJOY!!!!
