1 14oz. can plum tomatoes.
1 clove crushed garlic.
1 red bell pepper.
1 yellow bell pepper.
1 green bell pepper.
1 sweet onion.
1/4 cup olive oil.
1 tablespoon balsamic vinager.
1 teaspoon seasalt.
For Burger.
1 and 1/2 pounds 80% lean ground beef.
2 cups. portabella mushrooms chopped fine.
1/2 cup Sutterhome Merlot wine.
1/2 cup sweet paprika.
1 tsp. crushed hot red pepper flakes.
1tsp. seasalt.
1tsp. crushed fennel seeds.
6 Kaiser hamburger buns.
12 slices provolone cheese.



for burgers Mix all burger ingredients together, throughly, but gently. make into 6 bun sized patties, set aside. For Pepper and Tomato Topping heat grill to medium high. Place a grill safe skillet on grill. Add olive oil. Heat olive oil for 1 min.Add crushed garlic, thinly sliced onion, and thinly sliced peppers. Do not add salt yet, brown and carmelize mixture about 15 min. Drain and crush tomatoes add to mixture. Add seasalt and balsamic vinegar. Cook another 5 min., stirring occasionaly. Remove from heat and set aside to cool slightly. Grill burgers, 3 to 4 min. per side for medium burger. After first turn over of burgers, add 2 slices of cheese to each burger allow to melt while cooking other side. Remove from heat. Grill sliced rolls for 1 to 2 min cut side on grill. Assemble burgers with Pepper and Tomatoe mix on top of burger and Mangia.
