2 pounds ground sweet sausage
1 pound fresh smoked mozzarella
1 1/2 green pepper, cut into slices
1 medium vidalia onion, cut into slices
fresh basil leaves
butter or olive oil
salt and pepper
Form sausage into eight patties, set aside. Chop mozzarella into small pieces. Make a divit in 4 of the patties and place enough mozzarella pieces to fill hole. Top with another patty and squeeze sides shut. Heat a medium frying pan and add butter or olive oil. Add peppers and onions and saute util caramalized. Heat grill and cook the burgers until cooked through and cheese is melted on inside. On a burger bun, put a few slices of basil, put the burger on top, and top with peppers and onions.
