Kel’s Burgers


1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1/4 cup of basil pesto
1 large garlic clove minced
1/4 cup of oil packed sun dried tomatoes, drained and minced
salt, and freshly ground pepper to taste
6 slices of provolone cheese
6 tomatoes – thinly sliced
1 medium purple onion – thinly sliced
Oil for the grill (I use olive oil)
6 onion rolls
Mayonaise (I use Hellemans)



Combine the beef, basil pesto, garlic, sun dried tomatoes, salt and pepper.
Mix together thoroughly and shape into 6 patties.

Lightly brush grill with oil. Grill burgers to desired doneness. Top with cheese slices just before burgers are finished cooking.

Serve on onion rolls with a teaspoon or so of mayonaise.
