Kyle’s Ultimate Brunch Burger

Ingredients

  • 2 Pounds 80/20 chuck
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 6 potato buns
  • 2 tablespoons fresh coffee grounds
  • 1 Tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 + 1 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon salt
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoon cayenne
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 Teaspoon water
  • 6 slices thick sliced cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • 1.
  • In a large bowl mix hamburger, garlic powder, coffee grounds, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, salt, cayenne, paprika and worcestershire sauce.

  • Form 6 patties and lay to the side
  • 3.
  • In a small bowl mix 1/2 Cup brown sugar, 1/2 Teaspoon black pepper and 1/2 Teaspoon water
  • 4.
  • Place bacon in mixture, covering both sides
  • 5.
  • Cook burgers for 5-6 minutes on each side, per half inch of thickness, or when your thermometer reads 160 fahrenheit
  • 6.
  • While burgers are cooking, spray pan with cooking spray and start cooking the bacon slices, until crisp on both sides, adding more of brown sugar mixture as needed
  • 7. Butter potato buns and place on grill for 1 minute
  • 8.
  • Add the cheddar cheese slices on burgers until melted
  • 9.
  • Place burgers on the buns and top with the candied bacon
  • 10. Watch your friends enjoy the fruits of your labor
