2 1/2 pounds ground chuck
2 minced cloves of garlic
1/2 finley chopped yellow onion
1 tbs ground cumin
2 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp pepper
3 tbs chopped flat leaf parsley
juice of 1 lime
1/4 c of italian seasoned bread crumbs
Vegetable oil, for brushing the grill rack
6 thin slice serrano ham
6 thin slices swiss cheese
6 ciabatta rolls, split
organic tomato sauce



Prepare a medium-hot fire in a charcoal grill with a cover, or preheat a gas grill to medium high. To make the patties, mix the ground beef with the garlic,yellow onion,cumin,salt, pepper,garlic powder,flatleaf parsley,the juice of 1 lime,and italian bread crumbs. Form into 6 equal patties to fit the rolls. Brush the grill rack with oil. Place the patties on the rack and cook for 3 minutes. Flip over and cook until almost done, 2 to 3 minutes more. Add the serano ham and cheese slices on top of patties and cover grill until cheese is melted. Toast the buns on the grill for a few seconds. To assemble the burgers, add 1 tsp of sauce to bottom of bun. Now add the patty then add another tsp of sauce. Add the bun tops and serve. Makes 6 burgers
