Zinfandel

Bright and full-bodied, this Zinfandel wine is a curious contradiction in tastes.

Ingredients

2 lbs. ground brisket
1 – 8oz. Package Three Cheese – Natural Cheese Crumbles (Monterey Jack, Colby & Cheddar Cheese)
¼ cup firmly packed Pickled Jalapeno slices (chopped)
¼ teaspoon Finely ground cumin
½ teaspoon Ground chipotle chile
1 teaspoon Salt
Non-stick BBQ Grill Spray
3 Tablespoons Butter – softened at room temperature
6 Large Sesame buns – toasted
Mayo
2 Avocados – sliced

 

Instructions

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground brisket, package of cheese, chopped jalapenos, finely ground cumin, ground chipotle chile and salt. Mix all ingredients together until well blended. 2. Spray grill with non-stick BBQ Spray before you pre-heat gas grill to 425° F 3. Divide meat mixture into 6 – 7oz. balls. Flatten balls to form patties and push your index finger into the middle of the patty then set aside on a platter. Continue making the rest of the patties. 4. Place patties on grill and cook for 5 minutes – close lid. 5. While patties are cooking, brush buns with melted butter. 6. Turn patties once and cook for 4 more minutes. (These will be medium to well-done) 7. After two minutes, put buns on grill and let cook for 2 minutes or until toasted. 8. Remove patties and buns. 9. Put miracle whip or Hellmann’s on bun. Put patty on bun and top with 3-4 slices of avocado. 10. Serve immediately.
