Lots O Lasagna Burger

Bright and full-bodied, this Zinfandel wine is a curious contradiction in tastes.


Lasagna Sauce:
¼ cup parmesan cheese
2 garlic cloves, minced
½ cup mayonnaise
¾ cup spaghetti sauce
¾ cups ricotta cheese
¼ cup parmesan cheese
¼ cup sun dried tomatoes
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 ½ pounds ground beef
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons pepper
2 teaspoons oregano
3 teaspoons freeze dried basil
3 teaspoons vegetable oil
6 slices fresh mozzarella cheese
1/3 cup olive oil
6 Italian style hamburger buns



In small bowl mix sauce ingredients until well blended. Set aside. In large bowl combine spaghetti sauce, ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, sun dried tomatoes, garlic, ground beef, salt, pepper, oregano and basil. Mix well. Shape into 6 patties. Grease grill with oil. Grill burgers over low heat for 20-30 minutes. Place 1 slice of mozzarella cheese on each burger and grill until melted. Drizzle olive oil on buns and grill until warm. Spread sauce mixture over buns. Place burger on top of bun and serve.
