Low Country Bar B Que Burger

Bar B Que Sauce
2 cups ketchup
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup onion, minced
1 Tablespoon seasoned salt
2 Tablespoons brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 ground chuck
1/2 pound ground chevon
1/2 teaspoon ground thyme
Olive oil, for brushing the gril
l 6 large Hamburger Buns
6 Slices Smoked Chedder
6 thick slices sweet red onion
Dill Pickles



Prepare a medium hot fire in a charcoal grill or preheat a gas grill to a medium high heat. For Bar B Que sauce, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, worcestershire sauce, butter, onion, seasoned salt, brown sugar, chili powder & Black pepper in a large fire proof saucepan. Simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from grill and set aside. For Patties, simply place on a 12 inch long piece of heavy duty tin foil and season with seasoned salt and ground tyme. Place on grill that has been brushed with Olive oil. Cover and cook for 5 to 8 minutes per side, turning only once during that time. Meanwhile, toast the buns on the sides of the grill. To assemble burgers, dip the patties in to the thick Bar B Que sauce, place on top of the bottom bun. Top patty with Smoked chedder cheese, red onion and dill pickles.
