Ingredients

Burger Patties:
1 1/2 pound Ground Chuck
1/2 pound Ground Sirloin
5 ounce Crumbled Blue Cheese
3/4 cup Spiced Caribbean Jerk Marinade
1 teaspoon Kosher salt
9 strips Thick sliced Pepper Bacon(cut in half)
2 Large Red Bell Pepper(cut in half, clean,& cut into 1 inch strips)
2 ounce Colavita Olive Oil 6 each
Raw Burger Patties
2-8oz.cans Pineapple Sliced (rings/drained)
1/3 cup Spiced Caribbean Jerk Marinade
6 each Cornmeal Dusted Kaiser Sandwich Buns

 

Instructions

Directions: Preheat a gas grill to medium/high. Place a grill safe solid griddle pan on grill to heat. To make the Burger Patties: Combine 11/2 pound Ground chuck, 1/2 pound Ground sirloin, 5 ounce Crumbled blue cheese, ¾ cup Spiced Caribbean Jerk Marinade, and 1 teaspoon Kosher salt. Mix until ingredients are combined, divide into 6 equal portions and form into patties sized to fit the Kaiser Sandwich Bun. Cover and refrigerate until ready to cook. When grill is to temperature place bacon strips on heated griddle pan. Close grill lid. Cook to light crisp on each side, 4-5 minutes per side. Move cooked bacon from griddle to a holding dish on top shelf of gas grill. Leave griddle with bacon drippings on grill. Place red bell pepper strips skin side down on hot griddle with bacon drippings. Close grill lid, and cook until peppers are starting to soften; 4-5 minutes. Turn pepper strips to flesh side down, close grill lid and cook another 4-5 minutes until peppers are soft. Move cooked bell pepper strips to a holding dish on top shelf of gas grill. Remove griddle from grill. Brush grill with olive oil. Place raw burger patties on grill close grill lid and cook 5-7 minutes per side for medium; flipping only once. After flipping the burgers, brush grill with olive oil, add pineapple rings to the grill; and brown lightly on both sides; 2-3 minutes per side. Stack pineapple rings on top shelf of grill to keep warm. Continue cooking the burgers. During the last 2 minutes of cooking time for burgers, glaze burgers by brushing tops of burgers with Spiced Caribbean jerk marinade. Slide burgers back slightly on the grill; place the Kaiser Sandwich Buns on edge of the grill to toast. To assemble burger: On toasted Kaiser sandwich bun bottom place a cooked burger (glazed side up), 3 pieces of cooked pepper bacon, a grilled pineapple ring, 3 strips of cooked red pepper, and finish with toasted Kaiser sandwich bun top.
