Luscious Luau Burgers with Pineapple Horseradish Mayo

Paired or alone, there's something magical about this creamy wine that nods to yummy peaches and sinful delights.


2 pounds ground sirloin
1 egg
½ cup panko
1 teaspoon dry mustard, divided
½ teaspoon garlic salt
1/3 cup drained crushed pineapple
1 cup goat cheese
6 fresh pineapple slices, ½ inch thick
1 1/2 cup sliced peaches
Curly leaf lettuce
6 Hawaiian Bread Buns
½ cup pineapple preserves
1 cup mayonnaise
2 teaspoons cilantro, chopped
3 tablespoons horseradish



Mix sirloin, egg, panko, 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard, garlic salt, and crushed pineapple. Shape into 12 thin patties. Sprinkle 6 patties with cheese. Place remaining 6 patties on top of cheese covered ones. Mash them together so that you have a ribbon of cheese in center of burger. Cook over hot coals, turning as needed until completely cooked. While burgers are cooking, grill pineapple slices and sliced peaches, brushing with pineapple horseradish mayonnaise. Make horseradish mayo by combining 1/2 cup pineapple preserves, remaining dry mustard, cilantro and horseradish in a small bowl. . Brush pineapple slices with this as they grill. Place lettuce on each bun bottom. Top with cooked burgers, then pineapple slices and more mayo. Makes 6 burgers
