Mama-meeah, That’s A Burger!


2/3 cup Tomato Paste
1 clove Garlic, finely chopped
1/2 cup Cottage Cheese
1/4 tsp. Basil Leaves
2 Tbl. Miracle Whip Lite
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp. Pepper
1 tsp. Oregano
1 tsp. dried Parsley
1 lb. Ground Beef
1/2 lb. Owens Italian Sausage
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp. Pepper
1/4 cup Mozarrello Cheese
2 Tbl. shredded Parmesan Cheese
5 fresh deli soft white Hamburger Buns



Mix the Tomato Paste, Garlic, Cottage Cheese, Basil Leaves, Miracle Whip Lite, Salt, Pepper, Oregano,
and dried Parsley in a bowl. In another bowl, mix the Ground Beef, Owens Italian Sausage, Salt, Pepper
and add 2/3 cup of the prepared Tomato Paste mixure. Blend these ingredients thoroughly.
Form into 5 burgers about 3/4 inch thick.
Add Mozarrello Cheese and Parmesan Cheese to the remaining Tomato Paste mixture and place in a
sauce pan to heat throughly. Once hot, keep it warm until burgers are done.
Spray the grill with vegetable oil before grilling. Grill the burgers for 13 minutes or desired doneness
has been reached, turning about 1 1/2 minutes. Toast the buns.
Place a large dollop of the Tomato Paste mixture on the buns before placing the burgers on them.
Serves 5.
