Mama V’s Chili Burger

This rich red easily complements your homemade chicken dishes, red meats, game, and mildly seasoned pastas.


1/2-cup crushed Cape Cod Sea Salt and Cracked Pepper potato chips
1/2-cup corn meal
1-Teaspoon Ground Cayenne Red Pepper
4 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
1/2-Tablespoon Sea Salt

2-pounds ground sirloin tip
1/2-cup cooked red kidney beans
1-Teaspoon Chipotle Tabasco Sauce
1/4-cup tomato sauce
1 small yellow onion (minced)
2 large eggs

8 Hamburger Buns
3 Large Vine Ripe Tomatoes (sliced Thickly)


In medium mixing bowl make seasoning mix by finely crushed Sea Salt and Cracked Pepper potato chips, add corn meal, ground cayenne red pepper, brown sugar, and sea salt, and mix well.

In a large mixing bowl combine ground sirloin tip, red kidney beans, Tabasco Sauce, tomato sauce, and mix well.
Peel onion and mince in small appliance or chop really finely on cutting board, then pour and mix well into meat and bean mixture.
Beat eggs well then mix well into meat and bean mixture.

Add seasonings to meat and bean mixture and knead until all are well combined.

Make into 6 to 8 hamburger 1 & 1/2 thick patties and place on medium heated grill. Flip burgers every 5 minutes and let cook for total of 15-20 minutes.

For serving individual plates, place burgers on Hamburger buns, with a slice of tomato.
