Maple Pork Burger

Ingredients

3 lbs. of ground pork
4 Tbsp. of maple syrup
4 ounces chopped walnuts
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. onion powder
2 Tbsp. olive oil
6 slices muenster cheese
6 honey wheat buns
2 cups baby spinach leaves

 

Instructions

Mix together the ground pork, syrup (reserving 1 Tbsp.), walnuts, salt, pepper, and onion powder. Form into patties and brush the burgers with olive oil, then grill on medium heat for about 10 minutes on each side or until no longer pink and add the cheese the last minute. Brush the remaining syrup on the top half of the bun and place the spinach leaves on top of the syrup. Once the cheese is melted and the burger is done, place it on the bottom half of the bun. Now add the top half and enjoy!!
