Bright and full-bodied, this Zinfandel wine is a curious contradiction in tastes.


2 pounds ground chuck
12 slices fully cooked microwave bacon, chopped
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 Tbs kosher salt
2 tsp coarse black pepper
8oz. BBQ Sauce
6 sesame seed hamburger buns
1 one-gallon plastic zipper bag
1 large tomato, sliced
1 medium onion, sliced
3 whole kosher dill pickles, sliced lengthwise



In a large bowl mix; Ground chuck Bacon Cheese Form into 6 patties Place patties on medium (250-300 degrees) grill Season with salt and pepper Cook for 3 minutes with lid closed Turn burgers Cook 3 more minutes with lid closed Turn burgers again Baste with BBQ sauce Allow to cook for 2 minutes with lid closed Turn burgers Baste second side with BBQ sauce Cook for 2 minutes with lid closed Place split sesame seed bun onto each burger (cut side toward burger) Close lid for 1 to 2 minutes to allow buns to heat Remove burgers with buns from grill and place into a one gallon plastic zipper bag. Top with sliced tomato, sliced onion and sliced dill pickles and serve
