1 pound ground beef chuck
2 tablespoons high quality gin
1 teaspoon high quality vermouth
kosher salt in small dish
cracked black pepper in a small dish
10 tablespoons sliced olives
10 tablespoons gorgonzola cheese, crumbled optional.
Mix gin and vermouth into ground chuck beef and form into 5 patties. Make a small indentation in each pattie. Sprinkle with salt and pepper Place on hot grill and grill until juices rise to the surface of the patty. Flip patties and place two tablespoon of sliced olives and two tablespoons of gorgonzola cheese on each patty. Insert soaked wooden skewer into an onion slice and grill. Place finished patty on a toasted buttered rye bread or a toasted buttered bun. Add grilled onion if desired.
