4 teaspoons butter
4 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
¼ cup Sutter Home Chenin Blanc Wine
½ teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
½ cup shredded mild cheddar cheese

6 onion slices
6 tomato slices
6 zucchini slices
Pinch of sea salt
½ cup shredded white cheddar cheese

Pecan Butter
¾ cup butter (room temperature)
¼ cup pecans
2 tablespoons Sutter Home Chenin Blanc Wine

6 large hamburger buns with sesame seeds

Preheat grill to 350 degrees.

Lay bacon strips directly on the hot grill. Thinly slice the onion; place on a splatter screen on the grill. Cook 3 – 5 minutes until bacon is crispy and onion are tender. Coarse chop pecans; place pecans in a small oven proof skillet; toast on the hot grill just until the aroma rises, remove from heat. Medium chop pecans; place into a large mixing bowl. Remove bacon and onion from the grill, chop; add to pecans. Add ground chuck, butter, Worcestershire Sauce, Sutter Home Chenin Blanc Wine, sea salt, cracked black pepper and shredded mild cheddar cheese. Mix until just combined. Make 6 equal sized patties. Depress the centers of each burger. Grill burgers for 3 – 5 minutes on each side. Check interior meat temperature to ensure burgers are 155 degrees. While burgers cook, prepare and cook toppings.

While burgers cook; peel and slice onions, tomato and zucchini ¼ inch thick. Sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt. Grill 2 – 3 minutes on a splatter screen. Place a large oven proof skillet on the hot grill; sprinkle white cheddar cheese in skillet, cook until lightly crispy. While burgers cook; prepare and cook toppings and pecan butter.

Pecan Butter and Buns
While the burgers cook; place room temperature butter and Sutter Home Chenin Blanc Wine into a medium mixing bowl. Cream together well. Place pecans in a medium oven proof skillet; toast on the hot grill just until the aroma rises, remove from heat. Finely chop pecans; add to better and wine mixture. Blend well; cover and set aside. When the burgers are almost done; spread 1 tablespoon Pecan Butter onto each bun half; place buns onto cooler area of grill; lightly toast for 1 – 2 minutes. Do not over toast.
