1 lb lean ground beef
1/2 cup of bacon bits (mom used to fry bacon and
1/2 cup chopped green olives
1/2 cup chopped onions
1 tablespoon Merlot wine
6 swiss cheese slices (sliced thin)
Burger buns and condiment toppings of choice (i.e. ketchup, mustard, mayo, lettuce tomatoes, pickles)
Thoroughly mix ground beef, bacon bits, olives and onions.. Form into six patties. Place on the grilll (charcoal preferred) and cook until meat is thoroughly done and no red showing. Cooking time will vary dependent upon thickness of burger. Melt cheese slices on top. Serve on an American burger bun with choice of topping. I prefer mustard.
