Ooh La-La Burger

Reach for our Chardonnay when you’re in the mood for a rich and creamy wine that delights with the fruity flair of pear, apple, and peach.

My inspiration for this burger is all the ingredients that I love and the arrival of our puppy that my 9 year old daughter,Karan,aptly named Claire which has put me in a french mood!!


24 ounces ground sirloin
6 ounces brie cheese
3 teaspoons each salt/pepper
1 large white onion peeled&sliced
3 pears peeled
2 tablespoons butter
6 tablespoons mayonaisse
375 militers Chardonnay wine
6 french bread rolls


Divide ground sirloin into 6, 4 ounce patties,with thumb make indentation in each pattie large enough to insert 1 ounce of brie cheese into each portion. Form burger, encasing cheese inside, sprinkle on both sides with salt and pepper. Place burgers on grill. Pour wine into saucepan, place in peeled pears, bring to a boil, let simmer at reduced heat for 20 minutes or until soft, drain pears, when cooled cut into 1inch slices. Meanwhile flip burgers. In a small skillet melt butter, add sliced onions, cook over medium heat until brown and carmelized. Place cut french bread rolls on grill to toast. Remove buns and burgers, to assemble put 1 tablespoon of mayonaise on each half of buns, place burger on bun add onions and pear slices, top with other half of bun. Enjoy!!
