OOIE-GOOIE-BAR-B-Q BURGERS
Ingredients

1.75 pounds-Ground chuck
.25 pound-Ground pork
3 tablespoons-Cornmeal
1 tablespoon-Salt
1 tablespoon-Freshly ground black pepper
3 tablespoons-Brown sugar
Juice of 3 Lemons
1-Finely chopped Vidalia onion
3 tablespoons-Maple syrup
1 tablespoon-Hamburger relish
1.5 teaspoons-Liquid hickory smoke
3 tablespoons-Original Louisiana hot sauce
3 cloves-Finely chopped Garlic
3 tablespoons-Ground cumin
Sweet BAR-B-Q sauce
1.5 teaspoons-Salt
1 tablespoon-Freshly ground black pepper
1 tablespoon-Brown sugar
Juice of 1 Lemon
1 tablespoon-Maple syrup
1 tablespoon-Hamburger relish
1.5 teaspoons-Liquid hickory smoke
1 tablespoon-Original Louisiana hot sauce
1 clove-Finely chopped Garlic
1 tablespoon-Ground cumin
Corn oil, for brushing the grill rack
6-Kaiser rolls, split
6 tablespoons-Hamburger relish for topping the burgers
Instructions
Preheat a gas grill to medium-high.
To make the patties, combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl. Mix well. Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions. Form the portions to be about the same diameter of the bread. Set aside.
To make the Sweet BAR-B-Q sauce combine all of the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Set aside.
When the grill is ready, brush the grill rack with Corn oil. Place the patties on the rack, cover, and cook about 3 minutes. Turn the patties. Using a brush thoroughly coat the tops and sides of the patties with the Sweet BAR-B-Q sauce, cover, and cook about 6 minutes. During the last minute of cooking, Open rolls and put on the outer edges of the rack to toast evenly and lightly. Place patties on bun bottoms and top with 1 tablespoon of hamburger relish each and top with bun tops.
