Oriental Chicken Salad Burger

1 1/2 lb ground chicken
3 green onions (chopped)
1/2 c. celery (chopped)
1 1/2 T. sesame oil
1 1/2 T. tamari (or soy sauce)
1/4 t. red pepper flake
1/2 c. mayonaise
1 T. wasabi
1/4 c. each black and toasted sesame seeds
vegetable oil
6 sesame seed hamaburger rolls
alphalfa sprouts



1. Preheat gas grill to medium heat. 2. In a large bowl combine first six ingredients and mix well. 3. In a small bowl combine mayonaise and wasabi, set aside. 4. Divide chicken mixture into six patties. (they will be very soft and wet) 5. Combine the sesame seeds and sprinkle on both sides of each patty. 6. Lightly oil the grill rack. 7. Place the chicken burger on the grill over medium heat. (be sure to wash your hands after handling the raw chicken) 8. Grill for 4-6 minutes per side. (do not move or flip burger until it releases on its own) 9. Remove patties to a platter and let rest. 10. Turn grill temperature to low. 11. Place the sesame rolls cut side down on the grill for a quick toast (30-60 seconds)and remove to a platter. 12. To assemble burgers, place bottom roll and burger on a plate, top with alphalfa sprouts, spread wasabi mayonaise on top roll,cover burger and enjoy.
