parmesan turkey burger
Ingredients
1 pound extra lean 99% fat free ground turkey breast
1/4-1/2 C freshly grated Asiago, or Parmesan cheese depending on preference.
1 Tblsp. grill seasoning
Pita bread – usually makes four patties
Sliced tomatoes
Fresh basil leaves
Extra cheese for top if desired
Mustard, ketchup or other desired condiments
Instructions
Preheat electric grill on high (375-400) Put turkey, cheese and grill seasoning bowl. Mix with your hands until combined Roll in to four balls Flatten balls into patties on wax paper Place patties on grill Cook 6-8 minutes on side depending on thick. Turn and cook on other side until browned and cooked through. Lightly toast bread on grill Add cheese if desired Place turkey patty on grilled bread 1/2 Add sliced tomatoe and fresh basil leave Place other bread 1/3 on top and serve with condiments on side.
