Peachy Keen Chicken Burgers

Reach for our Chardonnay when you’re in the mood for a rich and creamy wine that delights with the fruity flair of pear, apple, and peach.


6 chicken breasts
1/2 cup BBQ sauce
1/4 cup Sutter Home chardonnay
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper
1/8 tsp salt Canola oil, to oil grill rack
3 peaches, halved (canned peaches may be used if fresh are not available)
2 large avocados
Juice of 1 lime
2 vine-ripened tomatoes, diced
1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped
6 ciabatta rolls, sliced in half
1/3 cup mayonaise
2 cups mixed baby lettuce greens



Rinse chicken breasts and pat dry. Mix in large ziplock bag: BBQ sauce, Sutter Home chardonay, minced garlic, pepper and salt. Add chicken breasts to bag and seal. Shake to coat chicken and marinate in refridgerator for 30 minutes. Oil grill rack and preheat to 375 degrees fahrenheit. Place peach halves on grill, cut side down and grill for 5-10 minutes, until peaches are slightly softened and there are visible grill marks. Remove peach halves from grill, peel off skin and dice. Peel and dice avocados. Combine in a medium bowl: diced peaches, diced avocados, lime juice, diced tomatoes, fresh basil. Place chicken breasts on grill and cook for 10-15 minutes, until no longer pink on the inside. Flip each breast once, halfway through cooking time. Grill ciabatta rolls, cut side down for 3-5 minutes, until warm and toasted. Spread warm rolls with mayonaise, add chicken breasts, top with peach-avocado salsa and baby greens. Serve immediately.
