Pepperoni Pizza Burgers

15 Very Ripe Grape Tomatoes, stems removed and chopped well
3 Cloves Garlic, chopped
1 Tablespoon Fresh Oregano, chopped
2 Tablespoons Fresh Basil, chopped
¾ Cup Pepperoni, chopped
½ Cup Parmesan Cheese, shaved
1 ½ Pounds 8% Fat Ground Beef
2 Teaspoons Freshly Grated Black Pepper
6 Kaiser Rolls
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
1 Cup Fresh Mozzarella Cheese, Sliced
1 Large Tomato, Sliced
Romaine Lettuce Leafs
Fresh Basil Leafs



Heat grill on high.
Combine tomatoes, garlic, oregano, basil, pepperoni, parmesan cheese, beef and black pepper and mix all together thoroughly.
Reduce heat on grill to medium.
Form meat mixture into 6, ¾” patties.
Place patties on grill and cook for 5 minutes on each side.
Split rolls and brush cut side with olive oil.
Place rolls cut side down and grill for about 1 minute until browned. Flip rolls and place mozzarella slices on the rolls and warm the cheese.
Place rolls on a plate and layer with the patties.
Serve with fresh tomato slices, romaine lettuce and basil.
