Point Reyes Blue Cheese Bacon Burger

Bright and full-bodied, this Zinfandel wine is a curious contradiction in tastes.


1.5 lbs. Ground Sirloin
3 oz. Real Bacon Bits
2 tablespoon Grey Poupon Dijon Mustard
1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
2 teaspoon Coarse Ground Pepper Spread
4 oz. Point Reyes Farmstead Blue
4 Oz. Organic Sour Cream



Mix 1.5 pounds of ground sirloin with one 3 oz. pkg. of  Real Bacon Bits two tablespoons of "Grey Poupon Dijon Mustard" one teaspoon "Kosher Salt" and two teaspoons of fresh coarse ground pepper. Form into 4 patties and grill Prepare blue cheese spread with 4 oz. of "Point Reyes Farmstead Blue" and 4 oz. of good organic sour cream. Mix well. Toast on grill a good bakery Kaiser Roll of choice add burger load up with spead and what ever else you like on a burger. I add a thin slice of red onion, heirloom tomato and baby spinach. Only one more thing left and that is a great glass of wine and I drink a chilled glass of "Sutter Home Zinfandel"
