Popper Beef Burger

Pairs well with:

White Merlot

Imagine sipping a lighter Merlot. This fresh, pale-pink wine is a nice change from traditional red or white wines.


1 lb. Lean Ground Beef
1/4 cup of prepared salsa
4 frozen cream cheese stuffed jalapeno peppers
2 clove of garlic minced
1chipotle pepper in abobo sauce chopped up
8 tbsp. Of shredded cheese
4 hamburger buns



Cook Jalapeno poppers in the Microwave for 3-5 minutes while those are cooking, combine ground beef with ¼ cup of salsa, the chipotle pepper, and 2 clove of garlic. Divide the beef mixture in to eight thin equal portions. Cut jalapeno poppers into slices; place slices in-between each burger then place other patty on top sealing the edges. Place patties on the grill, grill for 15-16 minutes turning once half way through. Add two tbsp. Of cheese on top of each burger while they are still in the skillet so the cheese will melt. Place Burgers on hamburger buns with additional salsa if desired.
