Queso Cause I Say So Burger

Ingredients

  • Burger:
  • 2 Pounds 80/20 beef
  • 1/2 Tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 Bag young tender spinach
  • 6 Brioche buns
  • 1 Tablespoon cooking oil to coat the grill Queso:
  • 1 Teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 Teaspoon onion salt
  • 10 Ounce can diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 1/2 Teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 Teaspoon ground cayenne
  • 1/2 Pound white American cheese
  • 1/2 Pound pepper jack cheese
  • 1/4 Cup sour cream
  • 3/4 Cup of milk Caramelized Pears:
  • 1 Tablespoon butter
  • 6 Slices pear, 1/4-inch in thickness
  • 1/4 Teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 Teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1/4 Cup honey
  • 3 Tablespoons of white cane sugar

Instructions

  • 1. In a large bowl mix hamburger, garlic powder and Worcestershire together 2. Form 6 patties and brush each side with butter and lightly salt and pepper each side 3. Lay these to the side to rest, covered with clear wrap 4. Start the queso by mixing 1 teaspoon garlic salt, 1 teaspoon onion salt, 10 ounce can of diced tomatoes with green chilies, 1/2 teaspoon pepper, 1/2 teaspoon ground cayenne, 1/2 pound white American cheese, 1/2 pound pepper jack cheese, 1/4 cup sour cream and 3/4 cup milk 5. Place the mixture in a large pan on low heat, stirring occasionally 6. Cook 15 to 20 minutes 7. When done, place on the top rack of the grill to keep warm 8. Start the caramelized pears by cutting 6 slices of pear approximately 1/4-inch in thickness 9. Heat the 1/4 tablespoon of butter in large skillet, over medium heat 10. Add the 1/4 teaspoon of brown sugar and 3 tablespoons of white sugar, stirring until sugars are dissolved 11. Add pears in a single layer, and coat with mixture 12. When almost soft, coat with the 1/4 cup of honey and cook for another 3 minutes 13. When the grill reaches medium to high, coat the grill with cooking oil 14. Cook hamburgers for 5 to 6 minutes per 1/2-inch of thickness on each side, or until meat thermometer reaches 160 degrees Fahrenheit 15. Butter the brioche buns and grill slightly for 1 minute 16. Place baby spinach on bottom of buns, hamburger, queso and top with caramelized pears 17. Place in your face and enjoy!
