Instructions

Directions Preheat a gas grill to medium-high or prepare a medium-hot fire in a charcoal grill. To make avocado salsa spread, add avocados in a medium bowl and mash with a fork until smooth. Add red onion, cilantro, garlic, lime juice, lemon juice, sea salt and cayenne pepper. Mix thoroughly. Refrigerate until ready to serve. To make patties, combine; add beef, olive oil, beef broth, tomato sauce, onions, garlic, jalapenos and cilantro in a large bowl; mix throughly. Add chile ancho, cumin, chili powder, oregano, salt and pepper; mix thoroughly. Rub a small amount of olive oil on hand to prevent meat from sticking to hands. Divide into 8 equal parts and form into patties to fit the buns. Spray grill rack with olive oil spray. Place patties at least 3 inches apart; cover and cook for 5-6 minutes. Turn patties over and continue to grill continue until your desired doneness is achieved. During the last 2 minutes of cooking your burgers, brush buns with melted butter. Place buns inside down and cook until edges are golden brown, which is lightly toasted. To assemble burgers, place the bottom on the bun on a plate and spread with guacamole salsa spread. Place lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pepper jack cheese, and patty. Top burger with more avocado salsa and black olives; place top of the bun on burger. Makes 8 burgers
