Red Onion Turkey Burger With Peach Ginger Teriyaki Relish
Create a really tasty turkey burger
Ingredients:
2 pounds ground white turkey breast
1 tablespoon Teriyaki sauce
½ small red onion chopped
1 teaspoon coarse salt
½ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1 tablespoon Canola Oil
3 ripe peaches, peeled, pitted and chopped
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, peeled and minced
1 tablespoon Teriyaki sauce
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoon. Canola Oil
6 Sesame Kaiser rolls, halved
Instructions:
Preheat grill to medium. In a large mixing bowl, mix together turkey, sauce, onion, salt and pepper. Shape into 6 burgers and set aside. In a grill proof medium sauté pan heat 1 tablespoon oil for 30 seconds. Add to pan, peaches and ginger. Cook 5 minutes stirring frequently. Add sauce and continue cooking 1 minute. Remove and cool. Stir in mayonnaise and mix well. Increase heat to medium high. Grill burgers 5 to 6 minutes each side or until just cooked through. One minute before burgers done, brush rolls with 2 tablespoon oil and toast lightly on grill. Remove and spread tops and bottoms with relish. Place burgers on roll bottoms, top with roll tops and serve. Serves 6
