Simply Red, White & Blue Burger

This rich red easily complements your homemade chicken dishes, red meats, game, and mildly seasoned pastas.

Ingredients

1/3 cup of sour cream
1/3 cup of mayo
1/2 red onion
3 small garlic clove pressed
2 teaspoons of fresh chive
salt & pepper
vegetable oil for grill
1 1/2 pounds of ground chuck
1 tablespoon of finely chopped parsley
1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
4 tablespoons of Cabernet Sauvignon
12 tablespoons of blue cheese
6 buttercrust hamburger buns
3 tablespoons butter

 

Instructions

White Dressing (2-1/2 hours before preparing patties) Blend the following together well: 1/3 cup of sour cream 1/3 cup mayonaisse 1 teaspoon finely chopped red onion 1 small garlic clove pressed 2 teaspoons of fresh chive aalt and pepper to taste Cover and refrigerate until serving. Preheat a gas grill medium to high or prepare a medium-hot fire in a gas grill with a cover. Patties 1-1/2 pound ground chuck 1 tablespoon of fresh finely chopped parsley 1 garlic clove pressed 1/4 teaspon of black pepper 2 tablespoons of Cabernet Sauvignon Mix well and divide into six equal parts. Form into patties. Brush with Cabernet Sauvignon. Cook on grill to desired doneness basting with Cabernet. When the grill is ready brush with vegetable oil and place burgers on rack. Cook burgers approximately 5-7 minutes on each side. Melt butter and add the remaining pressed garlic clove. Brush inside of buns with butter-garlic mixture and toast on grill lightly. Assembly Flip the burgers and place a slice of red onion on top of each burger and brush with Cabernet and let cook. Approximately 1 minute before completion, spread white dressing on top and add a 2 tablespoonfuls of blue cheese on each burger. Place on toasted buns and enjoy!
