Simply Summer Burgers

Serves 6 Regular-Sized Burgers

What more could you want from a summer cookout?  All it requires is ground turkey, chipotle cheddar cheese and mango salsa.


  • 2 Pounds ground turkey
  • 6 Slices chipotle cheddar cheese
  • 2 Mangoes
  • 1 Red pepper
  • ½ Large red onion
  • 1 Lime
  • 1 Tablespoon cilantro
  • 6 Whole wheat burger buns



  1. Form 6 turkey burgers, ⅓ pound each
  2. Cut 6 slices of chipotle cheddar cheese
  3. Make mango salsa
  4. Dice 2 mangoes, 1 red pepper, ½ red onion, and add chopped cilantro and the juice of one lime
  5. Grill turkey burgers, 4 minutes on each side
  6. Add cheese and melt for another 2 – 3 minutes
  7. Grill burger buns
  8. Place the turkey burgers on the toasted whole wheat buns and let your guests add the mango salsa
