South Carolina Low Country Fresh Peach Burger

Reach for our Chardonnay when you’re in the mood for a rich and creamy wine that delights with the fruity flair of pear, apple, and peach.

Ingredients

1 1/2 Lb. Ground Pork
1 Lb. Ground Veal
1/2 Lb. Country Ham, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1 Cayenne pepper, seeded and chopped
6 Cloves fresh Garlic, chopped
2 Eggs, lightly beaten
6 Tablespoons "Sutter Home" Chardonnay
3/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
1 large bowl to mix ingredients
Vegetable oil to coat grill rack
Peach mixture for topping Burgers
5 Large fresh Peaches
1 lime 1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 large tomato, diced
2 cloves Garlic, chopped
1 jalapeno pepper, chopped
1/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves
1i large bowl to mix ingredients
6 Large Vienna Rolls

 

Instructions

1 – In a Large mixing bowl put in the ground Pork, ground Veal and chopped Country Ham 2 – Add chopped onion, Cayenne pepper, Garlic, eggs, Chardonay wine and bread crumbs – mix well 3 – Form into 6 Large Burgers 4 – wipe Grill rack with vegetable oil 5 – Grill burgers approximately 6 minutes on each side over med – high heat until they reach an internal temperature of 160 degrees 6 – While burgers are cooking prepare fresh Peach salsa for topping on the burgers 7 – Peel and pit the Peaches and medium dice – 1/4 inch – add to bowl, squeeze the lime juice over the peaches, sprinkle with sugar and salt and stir to coat 8 – Dice the tomato – also in 1/4 inch peices and add to peaches in the bowl 9 – Seed and mince the jalapeno pepper and add to bowl 10 – Chop the Cilantro – add to bowl – stir well 11 – Toast rolls To assemble Place a cooked burger on bottom half of roll – top generously with Peach salsa and off-set top roll to show off the Beautiful Peach salsa
