South of the Border Fiesta Burger topped with a Fresh Tomato Cilantro Chutney and Avacodo Mayonnaise

Reach for our Chardonnay when you’re in the mood for a rich and creamy wine that delights with the fruity flair of pear, apple, and peach.

We love burgers, salsa and avacodo! This is a combination of all three.In my family, we all fight over the avacodo mayonnaise!

Ingredients:

Burger
1 1/2 lbs ground chuck
1 t chilli powder
1 t cumin
1 t salt
3 T chopped garlic
2 eggs, beaten
3 T Sutter Home Chardonnay
1 cup dry, plain breadcrumbs
1 small chiptole chili, in sauce, minced
1 small onion, minced

Fresh Tomato Cilantro Chutney
2 large, ripe tomatoes, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1 bunch fresh cilantro, chopped
1 T chopped garlic
Juice of one lime
salt and pepper to taste

Avacodo Mayonnaise
3 ripe avacodos, smashed
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 t cumin
1/2 t lime juice
salt and pepper to taste

6 slices pepper jack cheese
6 Onion Kaiser Rolls
Shrdded Iceberg Lettuce

Instructions:

Burgers
In a large mixing bowl combine all ingredients until blended. Pat out into six even patties. Place on preheated, medium heat grill. Turn heat to low and cook covered for six minutes. Turn, cover and let cook an additional six to eight minutes, depending on how well you want your burger. During the last minute place cheese slices on top of burger just long enough to melt. Remove from grill to platter. Loosly cover with aluminum foil to remain warm. Also, place kaiser rolls on outside edges of grill and toast just until lightly browned.

Fresh Tomato Cilantro Chutney
Chopped tomato, onion and cilantro and place in medium size bowl. Add garlic and juice of one lime. Toss together. Add salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.

Avacodo Mayonnaise
Smash avacodos in small mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients and salt and pepper to taste. Mix well. Refrigirate until ready to use.

Assemble burgers
Take toasted buns and slather mayonnaise on both sides. Place patties on buns and top with handful of shredded lettuce and generous portion of chutney. Serves 6
