Southwestern Turkey Bacon Club Burger with Honey Dijon Mayonnaise

Pairs well with:

White Zinfandel

With strawberry and melon essences, this American original is perfectly at home with however you like to unwind.

Ingredients

1/2 lb. Bacon (pre-cooked)
1/2 Onion (diced)
2 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Pepper
1 Tbs. season salt
3/4 c. Green Chilies (fresh is always best)
11 slices Provolone cheese
1/4 c. Sutter Home White Zinfandel
2 lbs Ground Turkey
2 Tbs. Colavita olive oil (for brushing grill)
Sauce
8 Tbs. Grey Poupon mustard
2 Tbs. Honey
3 Tbs. Mayonnaise Garnish
1 Lg. Tomato
2 Lg. Avocados
1/4 Head of lettuce
6 Whole wheat buns (medium size)

 

Instructions

1. Dice the pre-cooked bacon slices 2. Dice the 1/2 onion 3. Put diced bacon and onion in large bowl 4. Add to bowl 2 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. of pepper and 1 Tbs. Mrs. Dash 5. Add 3/4 c. green chilies 6. Start grill let warm up for a good 5 minutes 7. Tear 5 slices of provolone cheese into pieces and add to the mixture in the bowl 8. Add 1/4 c. Sutter Home white zinfandel 9. Add 2lbs very cold ground turkey and mix thoroughly 10. Clean grill and brush with Colavita olive oil 11. Make 6 3/4 inch thick patties 12. Place the patties on grill (Medium Heat) depending on how hot your grill gets. For high heating grills cook on low 13. Cook patties 12 minutes on each side 14. While patties are cooking prepare the sauce. For sauce combine 8Tbs. Grey Poupon mustard, 2 Tbs. honey and 3 Tbs. mayonnaise. Mix well. Set aside 15. Slice 1 large tomato set aside 16. Peel, remove seed and slice 2 avocados 17. Slice 1/4 head of lettuce, set aside. 18. Slice buns and put on grill for 1 min 19. Remove buns 20. Put remaining slices of cheese on the patties. Leave on for 2 minutes with lid closed 21. Turn grill off and remove patties 22. Slather buns with 2 Tbs. of honey Dijon mayonnaise 23. Garnish with lettuce, tomato and avocado slices 24. ENJOY!!!!
